Privacy policy

Last updated September 29, 2026. This covers the MGC app for iPhone and Android and this site, app.mgc.church.

What we collect

• Sign-in. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive your name and email address from them. If you use Hide My Email with Apple, we receive a relay address instead. We never see your Apple or Google password.
• Profile. Your life stage and where you live (both required). Optionally, a preferred name, a phone number and its country, another email address, and your birthday.
• Visits. When you check in, we record the gathering session, the puck you tapped, and the time.

How we use it

To check you in, show your visit cards and gathering history, and keep attendance counts for MGC gatherings. We don't show ads, sell your data, or share it for marketing. The app does not collect your location.

Who can see it

In the app, you see only your own profile and visits. Other members can't see them. MGC's administrators can see them in the database to run check-in and keep attendance.

Where it's stored

Your account and data are stored with Supabase, which provides our sign-in and database. A nightly backup is kept in a private repository. When you share a visit card, your phone creates the image and you choose where it goes.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app or by request. Deleting removes your account and profile. Your past visits stay only as anonymous counts that are no longer linked to you. See Delete your account, which also has how to contact us.
